Create and Use Email Templates

Create an email template from the template screen by inserting pre-designed HTML code.

  • From the messages menu in the top navigation bar click Templates.
  • In the New Template section select Email from the Template Type dropdown menu.
  • To group the template under a category, select a Template Category from the dropdown menu. (Categorizing templates is an easy way to organize messages, especially for organizations with multiple templates or users with send privileges.)
  • Add a Subject in the field provided.
  • Add a Template ID of your choice in the field provided.
  • Click the HTML button at the bottom of the email editor and paste in your HTML code and type your email template using the Toolbar editor.
  • To review the email,  click the Design button.
  • Click Save
  • To view or edit the template from the Saved Templates list, scroll to the bottom of the screen.
  • To use the template, click messages, Send Message in the top navigation bar.
  • Select Email from the Message Type dropdown menu.
  • From Email Template dropdown meu click the plus sign next to the template category the template is grouped under and click the template name.
  • Click Insert Template, and the email template will appear in the email editor body.
