Fixes

Spam Logic to be Implemented for Email

Extended the promotional/spam-detection logic to the email channel (previously applied to text/SMS messages).

Mobile Experience Enhancements 

Archive and Restore Users: This update introduces the ability to archive and restore users, making it easier to manage inactive accounts while preserving user records.

Archive Users

  • Archive individual users from the (More Actions) menu on the People page.

Archived People

  • Added an Archived People page (People > Archived) to view archived users.
  • Archived users are displayed with Name, User Type, Username, Deleted At, and Deleted By.
  • Search and pagination are supported, including configurable page size and next/previous navigation.

Restore Users

  • Restore individual users from the archived list with a confirmation prompt.
  • Restore multiple users at once using checkbox selection and the Restore bulk action.
  • The bulk restore button is enabled only when one or more users are selected.
  • Successfully restored users are removed from the archived list.

Permissions and Error Handling

  • Archive and restore actions are available only to users with the required permissions.
  • Added confirmation dialogs, success notifications, and error messages for failed restore attempts.

Mobile Experience Enhancements 

Scheduled Message: This update introduces scheduled messaging for Desktop and Mobile, allowing users to send one-time or recurring messages.

  • One-Time Scheduling

    • Schedule messages by selecting a single date and time.
    • Add multiple scheduled send times for the same message.
    • Remove individual schedules or clear all scheduled dates.
    • Prevent duplicate scheduled entries.
    • Save is enabled once at least one schedule has been added
  • Recurring Scheduling

    • Create recurring schedules with a start date, time, repeat frequency, selected days of the week, and an end condition. 

    • End recurring schedules by choosing Never, a specific date, or a set number of occurrences. D

    • isplay recurring schedules as easy-to-read summary cards. 

    • Support one-time and recurring schedules within the same message. Validate incomplete or duplicate schedules before saving

Message Templates: This update introduces a complete template management experience for creating, organizing, and reusing message templates across communication channels.

  • Template Management

    • View templates in a searchable, sortable table with pagination. 
    • Filter templates by category, creator, communication method, and date. 
    • Select multiple templates for bulk actions. 
    • Preserve search, filter, and sort settings across pagination and page refreshes.
  • Create Templates
    • Create Text, Email, Voice, and Text-to-Speech (TTS) templates. 
    • Capture template details including communication method, category, subject, and message content. 
    • Automatically generate template IDs. 
    • Display live character counts and message previews while editing.
  • Email Templates
    • Support HTML and Plain Text email formats. 
    • Include a rich text editor with formatting, alignment, lists, links, and images. 
    • Toggle between Design and HTML editing modes. 
    • Preview the email with subject, sender, recipient placeholder, and message body.
  • Voice Templates
    • Upload supported audio files (.wav and .mp3). 
    • Record audio directly within the application using a microphone. Record voice messages through a phone call workflow. 
    • Preview recordings before saving. 
    • Validate required recordings and handle upload, recording, permission, and processing errors.
  • Text-to-Speech Templates
    • Generate audio from entered text. 
    • Preview generated speech using an integrated audio player. 
    • Regenerate audio whenever message content changes.
    •  Preview TTS messages by placing a phone call. 
    • Validate phone numbers and provide retry options if generation fails.
  • Template Actions
    • Preview templates based on communication type. 
    • Duplicate templates while automatically generating a unique name.
    •  Delete templates with confirmation before removal. 
    • Support keyboard-accessible template actions.
  • Template Categories
    • Create, edit, delete, and assign template categories. 
    • Synchronize category updates throughout the application. 
    • Prevent duplicate or empty category names. 
    • Display delete impact warnings and empty states

Import Users: This update introduces a guided three-step user import workflow.

  • Upload File

    • Upload Excel (.xls or .xlsx) files using drag-and-drop or file browsing.
    • Display uploaded file details with the option to replace the file.
    • Require a valid upload before continuing.
  • Import Settings

    • Select the user type (Level 1 or Level 2).
    • Configure user record and contact information settings.
    • Require a user type before proceeding.
  • Data Mapping

    • Display only the columns included in the uploaded file.
    • Dynamically organize available fields by User, Contact, and Group Information.
    • Map imported columns to existing system fields.
    • Require mapping for mandatory fields before importing.
    • Redirect to the People page with a success message after import.

Compose Enhancements: This update improves the message composition experience across Desktop and Mobile.

  • File Attachments

    • Upload attachments using the device's native file picker.
    • Convert uploaded files into shareable attachment links.
    • Support multiple attachments with upload progress indicators.
    • Enforce a 5 MB file size limit.
    • Handle upload, conversion, and retry scenarios
  • Sender Information

    • Add a Sender Name field to email messages.
    • Select a Reply-To email address from configured account options.
    • Validate required Reply-To addresses and save sender information with the message.
  • Message Translation

    • Translate SMS, Email, and Text-to-Speech message content directly within the composer.
    • Keep translated content editable after translation.
    • Update character and message segment counts automatically.
    • Preserve the original message if translation fails.
  • Character Limit Updates

    • Refresh the character limit display with an updated user interface for improved readability.

Recipient and Results: This update enhances recipient management and message result workflows.

  • Recipient Synchronization

    • Refresh recipient data without reloading the page.
    • Preserve current filters, searches, and column selections.
    • Display loading, success, up-to-date, and error notifications.
  • Recipient Status Filtering

    • Filter recipients by delivery status, including Sent, Bounced, Unopened, and Unsubscribed.
    • Create new messages using recipients from the current filtered results.
    • Automatically create a temporary recipient group during message creation.
  • Groups and Messaging

    • Select recipients using row checkboxes with a live selection count.
    • Create recipient groups directly from selected users.
    • Send messages only to selected recipients.
    • Disable actions until recipients are selected.
    • Provide validation and error handling throughout the workflow.
  • Message Content Display

    • Display the actual delivered message content within message results.
    • Show full text for text messages.
    • Provide an audio player for voice messages.
    • Display a clear fallback message when no message content is available.

Fixes

UI Rendering Issue During ME-to-Cast User Sync: This update resolved an issue that could cause raw code or markup to appear at the top of the screen within the Cast system.

This occurred in specific cases during the ME-to-Cast user synchronization process when a newly added users in ME was transferred to Cast and a database field contained an unexpected NULL value.

Mobile Experience Enhancements 

Message Analytics and Reporting: This update provides message analytics for the Mobile Experience. This feature is limited to sent messages and does not apply to scheduled messages, drafts, or received messages.

  • Message Header

    • Displays the message title, status badge (Sent, Scheduled, Draft, or Failed) with color coding, and channel badge

  • Message Details

    • Displays metadata about the sent message: who sent it, when it was sent (Day, Date, Time), the notification escalation level used, segmentation applied, message priority (e.g. Non-Emergency, Emergency) and the groups chosen.

  • Message Summary

    • Displays metrics depending on the message types:

      • Email: Displays 8 metric tiles: Sent, Delivered, Opened, Unopened, Clicked (Through), Spam Reported, Bounced, and Unsubscribed.

      • SMS: Displays 5 metric tiles: Sent, Delivered, Pending, Failed, and Opted Out.

      • Voice: Displays 8 metric tiles: Intended Recipients, Actual Calls, Answered Calls, Unanswered Calls, Human, Machine, Fax, and Unknown Device.

    • Each metric tile shows a count and calculated rate. Clicking the tile will filter the recipients table to show only the matching records. Hovering reveals a tooltip with the metric formula and last updated timestamp.

    • Positive metrics (Delivered, Opened, Sent, Delivered) are shown in green/blue colors; neutral metrics (Human, Machine) show purple/gray colors, negative metrics (Spam, Bounced, Unsubscribed, Opted-Out, Unanswered Calls) show red/orange colors.

  • Message Recipients Table

    • A detailed recipients table is now available on the message delivery report page based on the type of message.

      • Email: Each row shows the recipient's name, avatar, email address or phone number, delivery status badge (Delivered, Failed, or Pending), and dates for Opened, Clicked, Spam Reported, and Unsubscribed actions where applicable.

      • SMS: Each row displays each recipient's name, avatar, phone number, delivery status badge (Delivered, Failed, or Pending), a comment or failure reason, and opt-out date where applicable.

      • Voice: Each row shows each recipient's name, avatar, phone number, call status, who answered (Human, Machine, or Unknown Device), call start timestamp, and call duration in seconds. Invalid numbers display a red "Invalid Number" status.

    • Users can search by last name or email, filter by group, and switch between status tabs. 

    • Filtered results can be exported to CSV/XLS.

2-Way SMS Replies - This update allows for recipient replies to SMS alerts to now appear directly on the message detail page on the Mobile Experience.

  • Replies are to the specific alert message.
  • Replies are ordered by received time with newest first.
  • Threads more than 50 replies paginate.

Account ID Displayed: This update ensures customers will be able to see their customer account number when logged in on the Mobile Experience.

  • The customer account number (ID number) is now displayed on the dashboard summary alongside a representative icon. Only the customer number is shown.

User Access: This update allows for Level 1 and Level 2 to log into the Mobile Experience.

  • Level 1 Access: Allows for Level 1 (student, members, employees) to log in, update their their information, and see the groups that they are involved in.
  • Level 2 Access: Allows for Level 2 (staff, faculty, management) to log in, update their information, see the groups they are involved in, send messages to the groups they have access to, and see message history.

Enhancements 

Implementation of Spam Detection: This update provides enhanced spam detection with new keyword and pattern rules.

  • Expands keyword and pattern detection to identify:

    • Repeated characters and excessive capitalization

    • Promotional language and financial terms

    • Multiple URLs and urgency-based phrasing

  • Adds high-risk phishing keyword detection (e.g., major financial institutions) with contextual warning messages to enhance fraud prevention and content safety

Password Securely Hashed: This update ensures passwords are securely hashed when creating new users in MyCast and Mobile Experience. 

  • Improved credential handling to prevent storage or transmission of plaintext passwords during user provisioning.

Add Custom Phone Number - This update allows for custom phone numbers to be created in both MyCast and Mobile Experience.

  • Ensured all phone numbers, including custom phone numbers, are consistently supported and displayed across both Legacy and Mobile Experience.
  • Improves data parity to maintain accurate contact information across systems.

Fixes 

HTML Preview in Mobile Experience: This update provides accurate billing, simplified logs, and a true single-message experience for long SMS. 

  • Enabled HTML Preview to function correctly within the Mobile Experience.
  • Improved rendering and compatibility to ensure preview loads reliably across ME pages.

HTML Showing on Email Alerts After Sent: This update resolves the issue with email alerts are showing the HTML within the emails after being sent to the users.

  • Resolves an issue where sent email alerts displayed raw HTML or code instead of formatted content.

  • Improved email content sanitization and rendering to ensure messages are delivered as formatted text across all devices and browsers.

Primary Email Not Auto Established for Users: This update allows for the user's primary email to be auto established when creating or importing users.

  • Resolved the issue where newly added or imported user emails were not consistently set as the primary email across Cast and Mobile Experience.
  • Prevents issues with temporary password links and reduces risk to alert delivery workflows.
