Create and Edit a Message Tag

Message tags are an optional feature enabling you to add an introductory message or closing message to each voice message.

A pre-message tag example might be: “Hello, this is a voice message from your organization. Please listen to the following message from your administrator.”

A post-message tag example might say something like: “Thank you for listening to this important message from your administrator.”

If you choose to add a message tag, you must first create and save a voice template.

  • After logging in you will arrive at the Send Message page. From the messages menu in the top navigation bar, click Templates.
  • From the Template Type drop-down menu select the Voice option.
  • Fill in the Subject field and create the Template ID of your choice.
    • If you choose to have our system generate your message, type a message (remembering to add punctuation) in the Message field for our computer-generated voice to read aloud to your users. NOTE: You will need to change the Template Type to TTS (Text-to-Speech) for this option.
      • If you'd like to preview this message tag simply enter a phone number in the Preview Phone# field at the bottom right side of the Message field. The system will call you to preview the message.
    • If you choose to record a voice message, click the Insert Voice File button, and select either Use a File on your computer,  Record a new Voice File, or Use a saved Voice File, and follow the prompts for the option you've chosen.
  • Click the Save button. Your message will then be filed in the Saved Templates list.
  • Navigate to the Account menu and select Account Details.
  • Click the Edit Account Details button at the bottom left of the screen.
  • Select from the list of available templates in the Pre-Message Tag and Post-Message Tag drop-down menus in the left center of the screen.
  • Click the Update at the bottom left of the screen to save.
